2025 Holiday Crown: Lumina Resort Wins Instagram Christmas Tree Contest

The holiday spirit was on full display this season as hotels across the globe competed in Lodging Interactive’s fourth annual Instagram Hotel Christmas Tree Competition. While the leaderboard remained tight until the final hours, Lumina Resort in Wrightsville ultimately secured the top spot in our mission to support local hotel charities.
"It’s been a privilege to host this competition for its fourth year. The real win, however, is the opportunity to support the community. On behalf of Lumina Resort, we are proud to donate $1,500 to The Healing Place of New Hanover County,” said DJ Vallauri, Founder and CEO of Lodging Interactive.
The 2025 competition, which spanned from early December through January 5th, 2026, saw incredible engagement. The winning entry from Lumina Resort captured the holiday magic perfectly, bringing in 144 likes, 10 comments, and 18 shares.
"The creativity and festive energy shown by every participant this year was truly inspiring," Vallauri added.
